It is a celebrity restaurant by Chef Enrico and Chef Roberto Cerea, siblings who run the family-own, three Michelin-starred Da Vittorio in Lombardy, Italy; Fratelli’s kitchen is helmed by resident chef de Cuisine Davide Bizzarri with over 17 years of culinary experience; and the best part, you get to taste some of the acclaimed signature creations from Da Vittorio without having to fly the miles. – Just these facts are enough to make Fratelli Trattoria Pizzeria worth-mentioned.
Fratelli means “brothers” in Italian language, a name that fits in right to represent the mastermind behind this restaurant.
Fratelli Trattoria. Pizzeria offers two dining concepts in one location, where Pizzeria is a casual all-day-dining restaurant specializes in gourmet pizzas and pastas; while Trattoria focuses on dinner-only, refined Italian dining experience.
Visited Fratelli Trattoria for a gastronomic evening, sampling four-course dinner menu that impressed us right from Amuse Bouche – it appeared in style like a macaron, taste like too with a savoury filling in between crunchy outside, soft inside macaron shells.
Caramella di Gambero Rosso Pesto di Rucola, Miele alla Senape
Started with a good pairing of red prawns and roasted vine tomatoes bursting with juicy antioxidants, along with rucola pesto that clocks in fresh taste of garden rockets, finished with honey & pommery mustard dressing.
Cappuccino di Porcinie Tartufo
A quirky way of serving porcini mushroom soup in a cappuccino cup, which definitely gives extra marks on the creative presentation. Topped with toasted brioche bread and delicate black truffle shavings.
Merluzzo, Lattuga, Taggiasche Olives, Clam Scented Potato Cream
Pollo, Ketchup di Barbabietola, Porri e Funghetti
Organic yellow corn fed chicken breast, served with braised leek, beetroot ketchup, sauteed spring mix mushrooms, Marsala wine sauce.
Il Nuovo Cheese Cake
End the meal sweet! Like a de-constructed cheese cake that put together several elements in an artistic way. Spot the round mini balls in pink-red, it is wrapped with berries cream cheese inside!
Rosella’s Strawberry Planet
While having our cheese cake, we saw diners from few tables away happily indulging into Fratelli Trattoria iconic dessert Rosella’s Strawberry Planet. The sweet tooth in us strike again and we ended up had one for ourselves too as second dessert. Hahaha.
And yeah, Chef Davide Bizzarri did the “smashing ceremony” for us! 1…2…3…smash! He is so cute and friendly! Thank you! *bow*
Overall review: Excellent dinner that pays homage to traditional Italian flavours with chefs’ very own creative twist. We personally enjoyed Caramella di Gambero Rosso Pesto di Rucola, Miele alla Senape, Pollo, Ketchup di Barbabietola, Porri e Funghetti and Il Nuovo Cheese Cake the most.
