Polish Tatar Food Festival at Shook! KL, by Guest Chef Marcin Budynek

In partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Malaysia, Shook! at Feast Village, Starhill Gallery Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur presents to you a gastronomic Polish dining experience, specially crafted by Guest Chef Marcin Budynek.

-Tatar Dumplings with Chicken or Vegetables-

Hails from Poland, Chef Marcin graduated from the Poznan Culinary Schools in his homeland. His passion for the culinary arts took him through Italy, England, Chile, South Africa and Spain to gain global experiences. At present, he hosts popular daytime television cooking shows, runs the Marcin’s Culinary Academy and helms the Bistro Dobra Zmiana and Tawerna Fisza, restaurants founded by him in Poland.

For the three-day promotion at Shook!, Chef Marcin will unveil a thoughtfully curated Polish Tatar Food menu, allowing diners to experience authentic flavours of Polish cuisine without flying the miles.

Begin with appetizers of your choice of either Beef Tartare, Beef Chebureki with Crème Fraîche or Tatar Dumplings with Chicken or Vegetables.

Cold-Beetroot-Soup

-Cold Beetroot Soup-

Followed closely is a soup course, where diners can choose to have the country’s favourite summer soup – Cold Beetroot Soup prepared from fresh beetroot and kefir;

-Beef and Lamb Stew-

Or hearty Cream of Saurkraut with Beef Ribs, Beef and Lamb Stew. We love all three types of soups, as they highlights very interesting concoction that we don’t get to taste often.

-Baked Duck with Potato Cakes & Seasonal Vegetables-

-Slow-roasted Lamb Shoulder with Vegetable Pilaf Rice-

For main course, we had Baked Duck with Potato Cakes & Seasonal Vegetables, and Slow-roasted Lamb Shoulder with Vegetable Pilaf Rice. Salmon in Butter Emulsion with Casserole of Beans and Pickled Vegetables in on the menu too if you prefer a seafood dish.

End the meal sweet with a decadent dessert of either Traditional Tatar Stulistnik Pastry with Lemon Cream and Fruits; Steamed Sweet Manta Dumplings with Cottage Cheese and Fruits or Sweet Buns with White Buckwheat and Poppy Seeds.

Dinner is accompanied by authentic Tatar music performed by Maria and Marcin Ruminski from Poland.

Shook! Polish dining experience is available in three-course dinner priced at MYR160 nett per person and four-course dinner is priced at MYR180 nett per person. Diners also has an option to choose selected dishes from the menu at à la carte prices. Only until 14 November 2018 from 7PM until 10.30PM.
