Yugo House Publika, a new Japanese casual fusion restaurant in Solaris Dutamas KL that highlights an extensive selection of Japanese food fused with other cuisines, adopting flavours from local favourites to Western fares.
The menu covers both classic and modern Japanese delights, giving a unique spin to your usual Japanese dining experience. Says, Nasi Lemak Sushi, Tom Yam Gyoza, Curry Chicken with Onigiri, Spicy Sour Salmon Kabuto and Mentai Mayo French Fries, among others. Price is reasonable, mostly fall within RM30.
Began with Crepe Seaweed Wrapped with Mentai Chicken/Fish RM12. Thin cut chicken cutlet, cucumber, tomato, lettuce and nori rolled into a wholesome crepe, finished with mentai mayo dressing.
Nasi Lemak Maki RM12, an interesting rendition for one of the most celebrated dishes in Malaysia, yet equally delicious by folding in beautiful flavours of chicken rendang, spicy sambal, refreshing cucumber, must-have hard boiled egg and Japanese rice – in a form of Japanese maki.
Unagi Double Cheesy Maki RM42
Tamago and cucumber wrapped in Japanese seaweed and sushi rice, further layered with cheese slices, grilled unagi basted with sweet sauce and creamy mayo finish – one of our top picks from Yugo House Publika’s menu, a great option for diners who enjoy having bigger flavours for their maki rolls.

More appetizer to nibble on while waiting for other dishes. Golden chunky fries topped with mentai mayo drizzles. Quite a generous portion for RM8, ideal for sharing.

Yam Fried Porridge RM28
Served pipping hot in claypot, this brownish fried porridge might not have an appealing appearance, but we personally reckons this is the most memorable dish we had in Yugo House Publika. Warmth, comforting congee, flavours heighten up with yam cubes, fried shallot, prawns, etc. Recommended.
Negi Salmon Wasabi & Garlic Butter Toast RM25, another worthwhile dish in Yugo House Publika.
French bread with garlic butter spread, toasted to crusty at the edges, fluffy & chewy inside. Enjoy it’s bruschetta-style with toppings concocted from salmon, chopped spring onion, shoyu and wasabi mayo.
Grilled Smoked Duck with Asparagus & Gobo RM18
Continue to get your Japanese-Western cravings fix with more ala-carte including Grilled Smoked Salmon Steak with Asparagus & Gobo, Grilled Smoked Salmon with Orange Sauce, Potatoes Cheese Mentai Yaki, Grilled Chicken Steak with Asparagus & Gobo, Grilled Smoke Duck with Pineapple Sauce, Grilled Smoked Duck with Asparagus & Gobo.
Ika Cream with Bun RM25, reminds us about Chinese Chilli Crab with Deep Fried Man Tao but here at Yugo House, they’ve got grilled whole squid dressed in cream sauce – for dipping into with the mini bun served aside.
Beef Rendang with Onigiri RM15, creative treat with some DIY fun. Wrap onigiri with seaweed, stuff in beef rendang and take a satisfying deep bite.
Cabbage Wrapped Chicken Breast Clear Soup RM16
Chicken breast wrapped in cabbage, cooked in miso-base soup. A thoughtful choice for diners who want to keep their meal light and healthy. You can also go for soup coupled with Western twist, like Pumpkin Ikura Cream Cheese Soup, Tomato Cream Cheese Soup, Mixed Mushroom Soup.
