After a satisfying and affordable lunch at Tongin Market Seoul, we continued our journey to Pyeong Chang – the county where 2018 Winter Olympics and the 2018 Winter Paralympics were hosted. Finally arrived after 3 hours drive from Seoul.

Visited Woljeongsa Temple 월정사/月精寺, located in the Eastern Slope of Mount Odaesan National Park and rated as one of the most beautiful temples in Korea.

Octagonal Nine Story Stone Pagoda, a multi-angled stone pagoda standing 15.2 meters, believed to have been constructed in the 10th century. It is now National Treasure #48.

Didn’t get to tour much as the sky had turned dark, rain never stop, the cold wind got so unbearable we had to leave after staying for a short while.

Had braised herbal chicken for dinner. Not much appetite but the nourishing soup clocked in just right to warm up the tummy.

Breakfast is not something we will have daily back in Malaysia. But we did so when in Korea due to the cold weather. We advise you all to do the same too, as your body will feel warmer after fuel up.

Alpensia Resort 알펜시아 리조트is a popular ski resort among locals and tourists during Winter months, thanks to its Alpensia Ski 700 situated at an altitude of 700 meter above sea level.

It has 6 diversified slopes, running up to 1.4KM long for skiing and snowboarding. Suitable for beginners, intermediate and expert skiers with different preferences. During summer, the lower Apron Area of the mountain is transformed into wild flower garden, spanning across an area of 100,000 meter square.

Ski-ing starts 20 November. We were too early but it is aww so pretty!

Felt grateful that weather turned so much better as we were on our way to Daegwallyeong Samyang Ranch, a popular tourist destination in PyeongChang. Also known as Eco Green Campus.

This vast meadow on a plateau is the largest ranch in Asia, also where Samyang Farm located for sustainable livestock farming – a mission to provide healthier, more well-preserved natural environment for the next generation.
