Shook! Dancing Prawns RM60

We started with Shook! Dancing Prawns, one of the signature dishes. Fresh, bouncy prawn deep fried to golden brown, coated with Shook!’s secret house-made citrusy aioli emulsion that opens up the appetites, finished with sprinkles of crystalised walnuts. Must-order. One plate is literally not enough.

Thanks to the friendly staff for recommending this Sup Ekor. So good! A hearty portion of tummy-warming, flavourful oxtail broth, richly seasoned with a bouquet of house spices, topped with celery cress and crispy shallot.

Pappardelle Angus Ragu RM70

Pappardelle braised with rich braised angus beef brisket confit, scented with black pepper-parmesan crostini. Other specialty pasta options include Conchiglie tossed with gorgonzola, goat cheese, fontina, parmigiano-reggiano; Vegan spaghetti with roasted artichoke, broccoli florets, heriloom cherry tomatoes, chili flakes; Capellini with spiced cod roe, aged grated parmesan, nori crackers, chiso cress; Spaghettini prepared with seafood, cherry roma tomatoes, topped with shaved pecorino, extra virgin olive oil; Liguine with miso-marinated fresh rock lobster, spring onion, garlic oil, sprinkled with chili flakes.

Sturgeon Steak RM95

From Sea to Grill menu is our favourite. You can have either squid with limoncello tomatillo salsa, barramundi, red snapper, sturgeon steak, freshwater Tualang prawns or rock lobster seafood choice, cooked in your preferred style, namely Mediterranean, Cardinale, Garlid Butter, or Etouffee.

For dessert, we had Caramelized Peach and Black Cherry Jubilee – a fruit based treat that is just nice to end the meal in a less-guilt way. We should have order Classic Baba Au Rhum too! A bit regret now.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining at Shook!. Laid-back atmosphere, friendly staffs. Menu is extensive, we managed to sample just few this round. Probably need to return several times to check out more of their delicacies. Already planned to have their Satay Enak, Sotong Sumbat Bakar, Ikan Bakar Rica Rica, and Kambung Masak Kuzi on our next dinner here. In case you used to patronize Enak at Feast Village Starhill Gallery, the chef has actually join the kitchen at Shook!, continue to churn out some of the popular items from the restaurant. So make sure to visit!
