For those who yearn for the nostalgia of breaking fast in a traditional kampong experience, look no further as Shook! Tastemaker Chef Rafizan unfolds the Selera Kampong Enak festive dining. Relish in harmoniously balanced flavours that are distinctively Malay with a thoughtfully curated assisted buffet of age-old kampung recipes that have been passed down through generations, including heart-warming classics from the Enak Kitchen such as the Sup Ekor and the Rendang Daging Tok.
Get started with a beautiful array of starter – Kerabu Taugeh, Ikan Pekasam Berlada, Kerabu Daging, Kerabu Mangga dengan Udang, Telur Masin, Acar Jelatah, Ikan Masin Sepat. Followed by tummy-waraming tom yum soup and soup daging.
For hot food, let your palate explore and savour traditional Malay creations inspired by Grandma’s recipes. Rendang daging “tok”, Gulai Ikan Masin dengan Nangka Muda, Sambal Petai dengan Ikan Bilis, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak, Nasi Beryiani, Ayam Goreng Berempah, Kari Dalca Kambing dengan Kentang, Bergedil Kentang, Tauhu Kukus dengan soya sauce, Sayur Goreng Ipoh Taugeh.
Ikan Kembong Bakar, Ikan Keli Bakar, Kambing Panggang, Satay Ayam, Satay Daging are some of the must-haves. Do not forget to fill your plate with murtabak & roti John – signatures in this Shook! dinner buffet; apparently also the counter with most people during our visit.
