This festive season, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur unveils a sensational selection of mooncakes for gifting – perfect for nurturing and renewing those special bonds with family, friends and colleagues. Handcrafted by the talented Yun House team under the expert guidance of Chef Jimmy Wong, these traditional sweets commemorate the Mid-Autumn Festival, an annual celebration across Malaysia.

“Gifting and sharing mooncakes is a beloved Malaysian tradition,” says Chef Jimmy. “This year, the ritual has taken on added importance, since many of us haven’t been able to meet loved ones and close colleagues for a long time. Sending mooncakes is a way to express our good wishes, to remind people that we care about them and value their continued presence in our lives.”

Those who favour delicate artistry can opt for the homemade Snow Skin Mooncakes, available in two luscious flavours: Musang King Durian, and Bird’s Nest with Red Dates. In the spotlight this year are Yun House x Bar Trigona Mooncakes, reflecting cocktail-inspired tastes from the award-winning bar. Savour Old-Fashioned, a masterful medley of whiskey, trigona honey and cedar wood bitters, or sample Judgement, concocted with ingredients such as jackfruit, aged rum and triple sec. Famed for its locally-oriented approach, Bar Trigona was recently recognised among Asia’s Top 50 Best Bars for the third year in a row.

Also on offer are Baked Mooncakes with luxurious fillings such as Pu Er Tea Paste with Tangerine Skin, and “Szechuan” Ma La Mung Bean. The selection includes summer-inspired creations such as Mango with Lotus Seed Paste, as well as mooncakes with an egg yolk, symbolic of the harvest moon and a sign of good luck.

Adding a touch of magic is the Four Seasons gift box. Its sumptuous shade of red is reminiscent of glamorous theatres and mythical dragons, while the embossed floral pattern evokes a feeling of joy and harmony with nature.

Four Seasons mooncakes are priced between MYR 42 and 78 per piece, with a host of special savings on offer:
