It has been a while since we last visited Birch KL DC Mall, a beautiful glasshouse-style cafe by Huckleberry. Still love the vibes here. Lively atmosphere with modern aesthetics, greenhouse structure with large glass windows that offers ample of natural sunglight, surroundings festooned with green plants, dark wood and steel elements that add to the modern industrial, rustic touch of the restaurant.
Just recently, Birch Damansara launches a Weekend Roast menu, offering special roasted fare apart from the standard ala-carte menu. Two choices available – Roast Leg of Lamb and Herb Butter Roast Chicken, priced at RM68++ and RM42++ respectively.
Each roast is served as individual platters, accompanied by traditional Yorkshire pudding, roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables and homemade gravy. Hearty portion, and we like the Yorkshire Pudding! Available on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays from 12PM to 3PM.
We highly recommend to pair the Weekend Roast with Birch carefully selected red & white wines – Altos Las Hormigas Reserve 2017, Gramenon Les Hauts de Gramenon Cotes-du-Rhone 2016, Valdivieso Merlot 2016, Gilbert Picq Chablis 2014. Reasonably priced at RM33+/glass, RM185++/bottle.
End our meal sweet with their evergreen Burnt Cheesecake. Smooth, melt in mouth. Glad that Birch KL still remain their food standard, after opening for few years. Special thanks to the staff for recommending this Apple Olive Oil Cake too. We only wanted to have one cake initially but when the friendly staff asked if we would love the try the Apple Olive Oil Cake. Straightaway get one after he told us it is carrot cake texture – undoubtedly our kind of cake. It is sooooo good we can have an extra helping. Highly recommended. Do give it a try if you are also a fan of classic moist chocolate cake, old-fashion butter cake, carrot cake.
