103 Coffee Chow Kit KL – the new outlet for our favorite award-winning barista cafe comes faster than we thought of, at a rather unexpected location (*maybe only we feel so. LOL). But we are really happy with their new venture, staying true to their “always moving forward” philosophy – constantly gaining knowledge in the industry while bringing coffee community into greater public awareness through creative coffee experiences, more approachable to everyone.

Located in the area that houses some of the best restaurants for dinner in Chow Kit such as Osteria Gamberoni Italian Restaurant, The Heritage Pizza, Pizzeria Dihyang and Kingu Kongu Japanese Restaurant, 103 Coffee adds some lively morning vibes to the street, from as early as 8AM.

103 Coffee Chow Kit KL is quite spacious, occupying two floors. Personally, we suggest to choose the upper floor if you prefer to have standard dining chairs and tables for more comfortable dining.

But for us, we prefer ground floor. Love the row of seats right next to the large window, where we can watch the world goes by while sipping on our coffee; or enjoying tranquil moments looking at barista at work, brewing coffee with full passion.

For drinks, you can’t go wrong with their House Latte, Cappuccino, Flat White; as well as Hand Brew Coffee with beans including Brazil Miranda, Colombia San Vicente, Colombia Tablon De Gomez Lot 552, Ehiopia Yirgacheffe Haru Suke G1, Costa Rica Don Alfonso, Bolivia Geisha, Colombia Felpie Arcilla Geisha. Feel free to ask the friendly barista for seasonal filter beans.

While having a cup of coffee is so common and easy nowadays, we like how 103 Coffee Chow Kit goes extra miles in serving a cuppa, beyond beautiful latte art and presentation. They place a note that explains the bitterness, fruitiness, strength, origin, region, tasting experience, etc. of the beans they are serving. Little details that deserves loud applause.

For food, 103 Coffee Chow Kit has a menu that put together specially crafted savories, ranging from City Croissant, Breakfast Taco, Breakfast and Brunch options. We had tried all their City Croissant selection during our recent visit at the newly rebranded 103 Coffee Sri Petaling, so we opt for El Omelet De Salmon this round.

A platter of cheese, mushroom, salmon wrapped in omelette, served with toast of the day and a side of salad comprises of crunchy cherry tomato, cashew nut, wild rocket and Espanol Romesco Sauce. Other dishes you can have include House Salad, Coconola Bowl, Sunny Mexico, Big Poppa, South East Omelette, Peter’s French Toast, Udon & Soup, Mega Grilled Cheese with Truffle Toast, Rice & Soup. Some of the exclusive items that you can get only from 103 Coffee Chow Kit Branch – Smashed Beef Patty Taco, Beef Bacon Scrambled Egg Taco, Angus Beef Steak Sourdough Sandwich.
