While Thai boat noodle is no stranger to many Thai food lovers, giving it a level up with premium Japanese Miyazaki A5 Wagyu Beef as topping could be interesting, not to mention the gimmick of adding few sprays of gold powder for “sparkling” finishes.

This beautiful bowl of boat noodle, that cost nearly RM60 per bowl is launched by Thong Bowl – the newest Thai street food restaurant in Sri Petaling that has appeared pretty frequent on our social media feed recently, raising our curiosity to check it out.

Some would say that it is expensive. But having high quality Japanese Miyazaki A5 Wagyu Beef with awesome marbling makes the price explainable. There is also Beef Boat Noodles with sliced Australian Beef, Sliced Australian Wagyu with Braised Brisket & Beef Ball, Sliced Australian Wagyu, Sliced Australian Wagyu with Braised Brisket & Beef Ball to choose from. Priced in RM24.90, RM27.90, RM36.90, RM39.90 respectively.

You can opt for either dry noodle or soup noodle. We personally enjoyed the soup version as it is flavourful, so delicious when the noodles soaked up with flavours of the broth. To order, first choose your noodles  from Thai Flat Noodle, Glass Noodle or Vermicelli. Then pick the spicy level 1, 2, or 3. No problem going till Level 3 if you are spicy lovers. We find that the spiciness quite acceptable to us. You can also add-on with Thong Bowl homemade fried garlic, beef balls, braised brisket, sliced Australian beef, sliced Australian wagyu, sliced Japanese A4 Miyazaki wagyu for merrier bowl of boat noodle. We recommend beef brisket – it is so tender.

To enjoy your Thong Bowl Boat Noodles, mix everything well together, then enjoy an explosion of taste and flavours. Then you can add some oomph by helping yourself to some chili oil, sugar, or Thong Bowl’s special homemade chili vinegar. Add a dash, or more if you like.

Do not leave Thong Bowl without trying out their appetisers. Salted Egg Fried Coconut is a must-try! Kangkung Fritters, Grilled Chicken Ball, Grilled Beef Ball, Son-in-law Kampung Eggs and Fried Wonton Skin are great items to accompany your meal too.

This premise actually has two shops – Thong Bowl and Tomy Yami. Tomy Yami is a dessert shop offering Snow Ice, Fruit Tea and Milk Tea. Had Bubu Cha Cha Snow Ice. A random order that turned out to be a surprise. SO NICE! Huge portion, with soft, snowy shaved ice in coconut milk based with salty cream cheese and sweet taro paste. Want to come back and try the Royal Milk Tea and Dino Milo!

Overall, a nice place to have Thai Beef Noodles with premium meat. Come by for milk tea or dessert too.
