Even though we have been to Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Hotel several times for afternoon tea, we never get bored with it. In fact, it is still one of our favorites, or probably the best place for high tea in KL. Apart from the magnificent view of KL city skyline, what makes afternoon tea at THIRTY8 Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur stands out is their effort in introducing high tea in different concept from time to time. We loved their previous Malaysian Voyage Afternoon Tea Series, and now – Sunday Wellington Afternoon Tea.
Sunday Wellington Afternoon Tea is exclusively available only on Sunday, 12.30PM – 3.30PM. The highlight goes to unlimited servings of Beef Wellington, Salmon Wellington, along with a variety specially selected seafood, sushi, chocolate, etc., semi-buffet style.
Table side service for Signature Wellington, but you can also get them from the buffet counter. Enjoy Australian Grass Fed Black Angus Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom Duxelles, Herb Crepe rolled in Puff Pastry; and Sustainable Atlantic Petuna Salmon with Wilted Spinach, Herb Crepe in Puff Pastry. Garlic Mashed Potato and Creamy Spinach as side dishes, finished with Espagnole and Béarnaise Sauce.
Beyond The Sea – Sushi counter with assorted nigiri and maki rolls; Seafood On Ice including freshly shucked imported oyster, poached Tiger prawn; and must-try Lobster Bisue with Rosemary Crouton, Garlic Bread, Grissini Stick. Oysters from the famous Les Huitres Cadoret – an establishment with over a century of experience in the know how of oyster cultivation, creating optimum conditions for oysters to grow. Amazing quality, plump, juicy.
Taste of Orient section put together Braised Wagyu Beef Brisket Bao Bun with THIRTY8 XO Sauce, Cucumber; Roasted Duck Pancake, Assorted Light Bite like Potato Curry Puff, Prawn Ratifi, Chicken Wanton.
Not to forget, these beautifully presented, dainty sandwiches that are too pretty to eat – Sustainable Smoked Atlantic Salmon, Horseradish, Pickled Cucumber, Chive Cream Cheese; Cage free chicken, homemade tarragon-curry mayonnaise; Four Cheese Toasty, Egg Coated, Truddle Mornay Sauce, Plum Tomato; Signature Homemade Sauce, Curry Aioli, Tomato-maple Ketchup, Truffle Mayo
