Grind & Ground Ativo Suites, an underrated modern European bistro that we came accross on our visit to this new lovely neighbourhood in Ativo Plaza Bandar Sri Damansara recently. The bistro is led by talented Chef Jun Kit, who has honed his skill in various renowned restaurants and establishments for over a decade, along with training from experienced chefs.
He decided to settle down with Grind & Ground few years back, continue his passion and love for food by presenting its patrons with dishes prepared from freshest, finest ingredients available for memorable dining experience, at affordable price.
Grind & Ground menu covers a sumptuous selection of classic favorites like Bangers & Mash, Egg Benedict, Club Sandwich, Big Breakfast, Arancini, Croque Madame, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Garlic Prawn, Duck Leg Confit, Chicken Roulade, Braised Lamb Shank, White Wine Asari Clams, Double Cheese Burger, Prawn Aglio Olio Pasta, Roasted Duck Breast and more – that fit well for brunch through dinner.
Potato Galette with Smoked Salmon
What we love about Grind & Ground is the extra effort that they put in for some of the dishes, such as using Homemade Whole Grain Mustard Hollandaise for Egg Benedict; Potato Rosti in Big Breakfast; Homemade Herb Oil for Risotto; Homemade Pomodoro Sauce for Tomato-based Pasta; along with beautiful presentation that worth extra shots.
Mushroom & Truffle Arancini RM26
Mushroom and truffle risotto balls, crumbed, deep fried and served with almond romesco, grana padano and drizzle of white truffle oil.
Cold Capellini RM38
Capeilini cooked to al dante, mixed with salted kelp and black truffle. Topped with citrus cured red malabar slices and trout roe.
Roasted Lamb Loin RM58
This Roasted Lamb Loin Risotto is such a hearty dish. Mushroom and parmesan risotto is rich and creamy but not cloying, lightly flavored with herb oil, very comforting.
Tomato & Lamb Meatball RM38
Pure lamb meatballs braised in homemade pomodoro sauce with a slight buttery end, tossed in spaghetti. They also have Torched Trout & Basil Pasta, Creamy Fish Roe Pasta, Smoked Duck Carbonara Pasta, Cacio E Pepe Pasta, Mushroom & Pesto Pasta, Prawn Aglio Olio – that we believe, will not disappoint.
Salmon Trout Tartare RM36
Sashimi grade salmon trout mixed with capers, alliums, sesame, shoyu, pasteurized egg yolk, served with fresh herbs, trout roe and bread crisp.
If you still have room after the mains, do check out their dessert like Crème Brûlée, Chocolate Lava, Affogato and Citrus Pavlova.
