While Monét Café at LaLaport Bukit Bintang is now closed, the team has relocated to a new space just a stone’s throw away from the mall, settling into a charming corner along Changkat Thambi Dollah, a street that’s slowly becoming a café enclave. Neighbours include names like Liku Likoo, Common Space, Bon’s Yard, and Bestow – each with its own character, but Monét’s new spot easily stands out.
The new Monét is housed in a two-storey shoplot, now reimagined into a space that feels somewhere between a café and a creative studio. Bold vintage tones, patterned rugs, mosaic tiles, paired furniture in various styles that bring warmth. We like how the space retains some of the character of the building, lifted with modern touches.
Monét’s menu is kept small for now. No long brunch list or over-the-top plates – just what they do best: coffee and tiramisu. The tiramisu has always been their signature. Be it classic or matcha, both sell out quickly. The coffee is brewed with Arkib-roasted beans, reliable as ever. Whether you’re into white or pour-overs, Monét keeps things simple, focused.
We stopped by on a weekend morning and loved how calm it was. Sunlight poured in, and the early crowd was made up of solo guests and quiet catch-ups. By noon, the seats began to fill, but it never felt too busy. Love the ambience here, will definitely returned, just that parking is never easy in this area.
