March staycation! This round we unlocked one of the newest accommodations in town – Marriott Executive Apartment Kuala Lumpur, which officially opened in August 2025.

As Malaysia’s first Marriott Executive Apartment and the largest in Asia-Pacific region (excluding China), we are so anticipated to experience this elevated take on city living, where culture, connection, comfort come together – in a well-appointed way.

The apartment also takes pride for its prime location at the intersection of Jalan Kia Peng and Jalan Stonor, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. From here, getting around is so convenient. KLCC shopping mall & KLCC park are within walking distance, while top shopping malls in Bukit Bintang including Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Starhill Gallery, Fahrenheit 88, Lot 10 are also nearby. Not to mentioned, Jalan Changkat and Jalan Alor, famous for dynamic nightlife and delicious street food. Conlay MRT is about 500metre away, making it easy to explore the rest of the city and beyond!

Designed for both short and long stays, the property houses a total of 353 units, featuring studio with 1 king bed, one-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom apartments. We check-in to one-bedroom apartment with KLCC park view. Lovely view framed by the iconic city skyline, from 26 floor!

91sqm, equipped with residential-style kitchen, dedicated living and dining areas, in-room washer and dryer facilities, separate living and bedroom. Beautifully designed, with palette of beige and wooden tone that set a clean, warm, contemporary foundation.

We especially love the additional layered contrasts – expressive deep-blue rug anchors the space; sleek marble tabletop; accents of vintage leather and subtle metal finishes weave in depth and character, culminating in a look that feels both refined and a sense of quiet luxury.

King bed with duvet made for a restful sleep, though we found is on the softer side for our preference.

The bathroom features a bathtub. Bath salt is provided, but we brought bath bomb too!

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, from preparing to cooking and serving. Cooktop, refrigerator, microwave, bread toaster, heater, alongside complete set of utensils and tableware. Also, BACFREE water filter for clean drinking water anytime of the day.
Had our lunch at Bistro Kia Ping, Marriott Executive Apartment’s all-day-dining restaurant.

The menu is diverse and creative, reimagine Malaysian cuisine with modern twist. Spicy Ground Mackerel in Fried Mantou / Otak-otak Mantou, Young Mango Salad with Soft Shell Crab / Kerabu Ketam Kulit Lembut Ala Peranakan; Charred Melaka Prawns / Udang Mieng Kam; Herbaceuous Spiced Lamb Soup / Sup Kambing Doraisamy; Charred Red Snapper Salad / Ikan Bakar Kuala Selangor; Grilled Tiger Prawn with Coconut Sambal / Udang Bakar Bersambal Kelapa, just to name a few.

Our favourite goes to Prawn Tikka Masala. It doesn’t look like the prawn tikka we usually have. It comes shaped like a patty, with texture between otak-otak and murtabak filling. Unexpected, but delicious.

Chef Parthiban’s Coastal Curry is recommended too. Red snapper fillet, eggplant, tomato, okra cooked in rich, spicy curry. It’s the kind of dish that makes you go for one (or two) bowl of rice.

Fettuccine reimagined in Asian style, stir-fried with beancurd, bean sprout, potato prawn fritter, egg and vegetable sambal.

Private dining room for exclusive gathering, celebrations and events.
On the 7th floor, we can enjoy:

Sauna,

24/7 fitness centre,

Sun terrace,

Indoor swimming pool,

Children’s pool

Kid’s Club. A fun-filled indoor space and outdoor playground, designed for young kids. Open daily from 8am to 6pm.

We also accessed to the rooftop observation deck, for breathtaking vistas of the skyline. So pretty! We spent few hours hanging around here, watching sunset before going back to our room.

Stayed in for dinner to enjoy our stay to the fullest. Ordered food from Grab, select a movie, and just relaxed. The apartment comes with two TVs. One in the living area and another in the bedroom.
Rise and shine!

Spread is not extensive, but thoughtfully curated. A bit of everything for everyone – both kids and adults. From salad bar to yogurt, fruits, cold cuts, nasi lemak packet, porridge, oat, soup noodles, stir-fry chicken, curly fries, grilled tomato with cheese, sausages, cereals, French toast, eggs, danish. Saw hot soya and yau char kwai too!

Do not leave without trying the roti canai! Freshly made, paper-thin crispiness at the edges, very fluffy in between. Order a glass of teh tarik to go with it!

Breakfast tip: Interestingly, the crowd pattern here is a little different. We arrived around 9am expecting busy morning crowd, but it was surprisingly quiet. By 9:30am, however, the restaurant quickly filled up with guests. Quite the opposite of most hotels we had stayed at. Best to come earlier if you prefer a more relaxed start to your day.
Overall, a true home away from home stay, within the city.
