Regiustea Sunway Velocity, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur 天御皇茶– Finally tried out this cheese tea (tea + cheese foam), one of the most talked about beverage recently. The hype has seemed to slow down by now. No long queue when we were there around noon last Sunday, so we got our drink in less than 10 minutes. Yay.
We are more a milktea person, just milktea without any toppings be it milk foam, pearls, pudding, red beans or whatsoever. But so many people are posting about Regiustea and Summerkid ended up saying “I also want to try”. LOL.
With over 70 outlets across the globe, the brand is prides for cheese tea, in fact, as the pioneer. On Regiustea Malaysia menu, selections goes from the most ordered Regius Cheese series to adventurous taste of Durian Cheese Series, as well as more common Fresh Lemon Series, Taiwan Sun Moon Lake Milk Tea Series, Regius Coffe, Frappuccino Series, Uji Matcha Series.
Most items here are above RM10, higher in price comparing to many other tea beverage brand but Regiustea stated that they use only high quality ingredients to ensure best satisfaction for customers – Cheese from New Zealand, matcha from Japan and tea from China. Expensive or worth the dollars you pay for, we leave it to you to judge.
We opted for Uji Matcha Cheese, RM13.90. Glad that it was not too bad. The cheese foam layer is smooth, creamy and mellow, pairing quite well with the matcha drink beneath it. Other base to choose from this series include Jasmine Green Tea, White Peach Oolong Tea, Lychee Black Tea, Regius Coffee, Signature Chocolate.
We are not too sure if we would come back again to try other drinks in Regiustea. It is nice, but with price that is almost comparable to the two-tailed mermaid brand, it somehow drag us back from buying.
