Light Capture by HON Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, now brewing.

Light Capture Cafe by HON – the cafe known for its captivating, Instagram-worthy interior that once took social media by storm when it occupied a century-old shophouse on Jalan Tun HS Lee, has now expanded with a new outlet in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

While the interior for their second cafe differs slightly from the original one on Jalan Tun H S Lee, it still maintains the core concept. Coffee bar in dark walnut color , furnishing in matching tone and other wooden elements are incorporated along with marble and patterned tiles, blending vintage rustic touch into the modern, high-ceiling space adorned with large glass windows.

Grab a seat by the window, or chill at their outdoor seatings. Watch the world go by as you sip on your morning coffee, tuck into freshly baked croissant.

As we visited the cafe during soft opening period, food selections are still limited, but sufficient for a light meal, as we were there mainly for a cuppa. The staff were attentive and even inquired if we had any specific preferences for our coffee. So we asked if we could opt for a fruity one and another in chocolaty ones, and they said OK. #ThankYou

For food, go for either chocolate danish, chocolate twist, veggie pizza, tuna pizzza, beef rendang, toasted sourdough with butter, sourdough sandwich, chickan avocado salad or chocolate croissant. Chocolate Moist Cake, Croissant Butter Pudding, Carrot Cake, Baked Yogurt Cheesecake, Oreo Yogurt Cheesecake, Blueberry Yogurt Cheesecake are available for sweet tooth.

In terms of pricing, it falls within the reasonable range for its location, as a cup of coffe can easily cost between RM15-RM20 in the mall.

Overall, a good addition to cafe hopping choices in Bukit Bintang area other than % Arabica, Coffee Academics, The Loaf at the other side of Pavilion KL; or Vintage 1988, Come True Coffee right across in Eslite Starhill. Great for travellers too. Because when travelling, we also love looking for beautiful cafes that are easily accesible using public transport, with beautiful vibes, yet not overly crowded.

Light Capture by HON Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is situated at the corner with less foot traffic (despite facing the main road). Some might wondering how to go to the cafe. Actually you can walk into MERCATO supermarket, find the escalator near to the cheese counter, walk up and turn right. Or, pass through the staircases next to ZARA. Don’t walk the whole mall and search high & low for the cafe. Yes, it is within the mall, but at a more unique side. Lol.
