The Legend of The Moon Comes Alive This Mid-Autumn – The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi

August 20, 2025 by summerkid_summergirl

Mooncake Festival at Hai Yan 2025

As families gather across the world to reunite and celebrate the ancient Mid-Autumn Festival, The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi presents four new mooncake flavors, expertly crafted by the culinary maestros at Hai Yan, Langkawi’s only modern Chinese restaurant. Led by executive Chinese chef, Chef Travis Loh and baked by Hai Yan’s multitalented dim sum chef Kit Wong, Hai Yan invites guests to indulge in the Celestial Traditions: two classic mooncakes and two delicate snow skin mooncakes, presented in an elegant box in the auspicious color of red.

Baked Classics: Single Yolk with White Lotus and Dried Tangerine Peel & Fragrant Red Bean Date
Adorned with the Lion & Crown, feast on two nostalgic flavors that evoke memories of gathering with loved ones at home, to enjoy the smooth flavor of the Single Yolk with White Lotus mooncake, or the comforting taste of red bean with dates, with the tangy aroma and mouthfeel of dried tangerine peel.

Snow Skin Delights: Lychee and Peach & Butterfly Pea and Pandan
A more modern twist on the traditional baked mooncake, these soft, snow skin mooncakes represent the luminosity of the moon, from the blue-hued Butterfly Pea & Pandan, which incorporates fresh butterfly pea flower and pandan from the resort’s own Nibong Garden, to the fragrant and vibrantly colored Lychee and Peach Snow Skin Mooncake.

Available for takeaway and dine-in, Hai Yan’s mooncakes are made fresh and require at least 48-hours advance booking. Pre-orders can be made from 1 August until 5 October 2025 through the official Offers page, or by emailing the F&B team at restaurant.langkawi@ritzcarlton.com.

Each box is priced at RM168 each and contains four mooncakes, presented in an elegant red case that can also be used as a bag afterwards. The Mid-Autumn Festival at Hai Yan runs from 30 August – 6 October 2025, from 6.30pm – 10.30pm.
