myELEPHANT started in Happy Mansion, Section 17, humbly serving up delicious Thai food with a healthy twist. The good food is spread by word of mouth, drawing customers from different places to patronize. By now, it is undeniably that myELEPHANT in section 17 is always fully occupied during lunch and dinner, but things has gone better as the restaurant expanded their business in Hartamas, Aman Suria, USJ 9 and Ampang.

Their outlet in Aman Suria, named myELEPHANT+ (E+), boasts a welcoming interior with brilliant use of colors and space- Tables and chairs stretched out fully in white, highlighting harmony contrast with wall painted in soothing blue green, and smooth concrete seats that casts an urban flair. Modern, but kept simple with minimal decor, though you can still discover significantly unique decoration adorning, as myELEPHANT strives to maintain their vision as a neighbourhood restaurant that is cozy, relaxing with comfort Thai food.

Tom Som (RM20/2pax; RM36/4pax; RM62/8 pax)
Spice up your tastebud with Tom Som, one of the signature dishes in myELEPHANT. Clear galangal, lemongrass and lime soup sum up to a fiery hot and sourish concoction with aromatic Thai herbs, brimming with prawns, fish, squid, mushroom and tomato.

Gaeng Phet Yaeng (RM30/small; RM50/big)
“High on demand” – This is how myELEPHANT introduces their Gaeng Phet Yaeng, or Roasted Duck Curry with Fruit. Tuck into a piece of flavourful roasted duck thickly coated with red hot gravy, the next second you will probably be calling for a bowl of rice to pair with this splendid, rich and creamy sauce. “High on demand, highly recommended”.

Gaeng Keow Wan Tempe
Local favourite deep fried tempe dotted with Thai green curry flavours, hence the spiciness continues, balanced by a range of vegetables including eggplant, tomato and green peas. You may enjoy the firm bites, earthy flavours of tempe, and may not.

Gai Yang with Panaang Ketupat
Grilled chicken chop served with Panaang ketupat. Each bite of meat is ensured with smooth, tender texture and a little charred surface. Panaang ketupat draws a tad of sweet essence from chicken; together with sweet and sourish sauce showered over, this local staple still tastes promising when matches with Thai flavours.

Pandan Layered Cake
The Ramadhan Special set ends with Pandan Layered Cake which appears at its modesty but  surprisingly smooth, almost melt in the mouth plus a faint hint of pandan fragrant.

Mango Sticky Rice (RM6.50)
Mango, coconut milk and sticky rice- this popular Thai dessert is a unique integration of  salty, sweet and sticky sensation. Sticky rice is of more compact version, but chewy throughout.

Mango With Sago (RM6.50)
Ideal for diners who want to get a taste of sweet mango, minus the sticky rice. Layers of sago, coconut milk and cubed mango bring colours to this sweet treat, apart from the refreshing touch that sends down the throat.
