Korean lady masterchef in Cafe Go To School has made a name for herself in overseas, and back here at this charming cafe, her cooking skills continues to be proven with praises from new and returning customers.
Menu in Cafe Go To School covers from soup, ramen, bibimbap, ttoppokki, burgers, fried chicken, lunch boxes, kimbap, cold noodles, braised beef ribs, special sharing dishes like Dakk Han Ma Ri (Korean whole chicken cooked in vegetable & ginseng broth), So Gal Bi Jjim (Braised short ribs steamed in soy sauce, seasoned with vegetables), Dakgalbi (Stir Fried Chicken with Korean Spicy Sauce), Woo Sam Geop (BBQ Beef Brisket) and a whole lot more. We are not Korean-literate hence we had a hard time browsing through the list even though with the help from English translation beside the Korean language. Sorry to say this, as we don’t watch Korean drama. But thankfully, Kafe Go To School is considerate enough adding in pictures for some of the popular dishes. Bibimbap? Bingsu? Kimbap? Toppokki? Yes, at least we know some. hehe.
Mango Uja Snow Milk Bingsu RM27.90
Felt so want to try out their main courses during our visit to Cafe Go To School but we just had heavy dinner before that. Will keep for next time. Suggest to come with friends, share food together, because we spotted the jaw-drop food portion from next table. We went straight to Dessert section and pick Mango Uja Snow Milk Bingsu. Red Bean Fruit Snow Milk Bingsu (RM27.90), Blueberry Snow Milk Bingsu (RM33), Oreo Snow Milk Bingsu (RM27.90), and Very Very Thank You Snow Milk Bingsu (RM33) are available too.
Very Very Thank You Snow Milk Bingsu is Kafe Go To School’s best-seller, and must-have. Great for berries lovers as the toppings consists of abundance of strawberry and blueberries. But others are equally good. Nutella Waffle, Blueberry Waffle, Cream Cheese Waffle, Butter Apple Jam Waffle, cakes also seem promising. Espresso-based drink like cappuccino, long black, latte, juices complete the beverage section.
We knew we couldn’t finish the Mango Uja Snow Milk Bingsu once its arrived. Super huge portion, enough to fit 2-3 person, depends on your appetite. About 1 size larger than the version we had in Bingsu Cafe Damansara Uptown. But considering the price, it sorts of fits in. Shaved milk ice is snowy, fluffy, melt-in the mouth. Milky, slightly lighter than ice-cream richness. A bit heavy towards the end. For fruits, generous amount of cubbed mangoes topped over, crowned with ice cream.
Comments: We love the “Go To School -style” interior in Kafe Go To School, lots of wooden chairs and tables, scribble, magazines, etc., as it is named. Service is friendly. Dessert is up to our liking, though portion is quite big for two. Despite so, having sweet treat is a must here, so save some room if you plan to have both dinner/lunch + dessert after meal here.
