Sukiya Kota Damansara

If Japanese Beef Bowl, or Gyudon is your personal favourite, you will surely find Sukiya no stranger to you.  Being the top Japanese Gyudon chain restaurants with over 2000 outlets across Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia and China, we believe Gyudon lovers have already checked them out when Sukiya opened their first Malaysia outlet in Kota Damansara early last year.

Till date, there are five Sukiya outlets in Peninsular Malaysia, which is in Kota Damansara, Uptown Damansara, IOI City Mall, Taipan and AEON  Melaka. We may be a bit late in dropping by at their Kota Damansara outlet two weeks ago for a bowl of scrumptious gyudon. But, better late than never. And the great thing is, we realized Sukiya Malaysia is now HALAL certified by JAKIM!

Gyudon RM8.40 (medium)

Gyudon, the best-seller and must-have. Paper thin Australian beef slices and onions cooked in sweet, soy based sauce, generously filled over a bed of Japanese rice. Our medium size gyudon was rather huge in portion hence for small eaters, suggest to go for small size.

Chicken Karaage
For a more satisfying meal, add RM5.50 to get a drinks and soup plus seaweed salad / edamame; and RM6.50 for drinks and soup plus chicken karaage/ seafood tofu. We especially love their chicken karaage, deep fried upon order. Pipping hot, crispy exterior, juicy bites of meat within. Diners can get them on ala-carte menu too.

Tokyo Ramen with Chicken RM8.40 (medium)

Sukiya Original Tokyo ramen, a soup noodles having classic soy sauce broth immersed with long, thin noodles. Texture is akin to our wantan mee, lingered with a touch of alkaline taste. Topped with thick slices of chicken cha-siu. Smooth skin with tender meat layer beneath, like poached chicken. Pretty decent, simple bowl of soup noodles.

Teriyaki Chicken Rice RM8.40 (medium)

Other than Gyudon Japanese beef bowl rice and ramen, Sukiya Malaysia manu also offers a varieties of donburi. Japanese Teriyaki Rice, Veggie Chicken Rice, Teriyaki Chicken Mayo Rice, Gyu-curry Rice, Veggie Curry Rice, Chicken Curry Rice are few of them. Everything is reasonable priced. Diners can get a fulfilling ala-carte meal at a cheap price below RM10. Ideal for quick simple lunch and dinner too, since Sukiya goes on fast-food concept.
