Joy of Christmas At The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CB&TL), one of the largest American coffee chain in Malaysia, ushers in the joy of Christmas 2015 with Holiday Specials and delicious creations that will add a sparkle to your celebration. Get into the mood with the Toffee Nut Latte, Double Chocolate Peppermint Ice Blended and Red Velvet Hot Cocoa or be welcomed with a Christmas Surprise Sampler.

“This season, more than any other, is a Season of Joy and CB&TL wants to celebrate it the best way we know how – by sharing the delicious signature taste of premium coffee and tea, mingled with traditional flavours of the Christmas season from various countries in Europe,” said Ms Fiona Rodrigues, Director of Marketing & Development at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malaysia.


Developed by award-winning Chef Johnny Loh, the festive offerings are a mix of traditional desserts inspired by European classics. From German Stollen to Classic Christmas Log, Sugar n’ Chai Cheesecake and the Coffee Bean Christmas menu highlight: the marvellous Scottish-inspired Dundee Fruit Cake, there’s surely something to please in this festive season.

“It’s been a privilege to develop this festive menu with the idea of Joy behind it – as a chef, I’ve always wanted people to feel good, even happy when they taste my food,” said Chef Johnny. “It was also a challenge which I enjoyed – there’s a fine line to tread when dealing with classics. If you play it safe, then there’s nothing new; if you make drastic changes, people may not be able to adjust to the new taste. With this special menu, I trust I have hit the right balance and that Malaysians will spend a joy-filled season enjoying this delicious traditional spread at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.”

In conjunction with the celebration, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has held several exclusive ginger dough-making workshops, where one of it is in Coffee Bean TTDI Petaling Jaya branch. Chef Johnny shared his expertise with attended guests, guiding them through the steps for creating the perfect base from which to make gingerbread biscuits, a classic offering that’s also available on the festive menu.

In addition, a host of Limited Edition gifts are also available, from Holiday Blends and Coffee Duets to Gift Sets that hope to warm the hearts of all, and they can all be enjoyed in exclusive mugs and tumblers which make wonderful presents too!

Amidst all the good cheer, CB&TL continues to support the Malaysian Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Association through the sales of specially-designed Gift Tags – sold for only RM2, all proceeds will benefit the Association’s Malaysian Lupus Resource Centre.

A little bit about Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE): SLE is a chronic, incurable auto-immune disease which causes the body to produce large amounts of anti-bodies which then react against the patient’s own tissues. The condition primarily affects women; in Malaysia, an estimated 10,000 individuals have been diagnosed with SLE over the past 30 years but the Association believes many individuals remain undiagnosed. Founded in 1994, the Association relies on public donations and corporate support, such as the sales of CB&TL’s Christmas Gift Tags, to carry out its many activities.
