Ma Maison Ebisu, Lot 10 KL: Japanese Omurice & Tonkatsu

Ma Maison Ebisu, the top 10 tonkatsu restaurant in Tokyo is now opened at J’s Gate Dining, Lot 10 Bukit Bintang.

For those who tried before the delicious Japanese deep fried pork cutlet served in Tonkatsu by Ma Maison Publika and Tonkatsu by Ma Maison Isetan One Utama PJ, the newly opened Ma Maison Ebisu at Lot 10, J’s Gate Dining would be no stranger to you.

It is a new concept Japanese Tonkatsu Izakaya restaurant by Ma Maison, specializes in tonkatsu along with other specialties such as omurice, katsu curry and kushiage. Proudly rated as “Top 10 Tonkatsu Restaurant in Tokyo” by Savor Japan, which further convince us to drop by for lunch last weekend.

It was rather quiet when we reached but seats were half filled up in a jiffy, probably by 11.30AM. Ordered both the highly recommended dishes – Omurice with Demi-Glaze Sauce Set RM32.90 and Jumbo Hire Katsu Set RM34.90.

There are two types of tonkatsu on Ma Maison Ebisu menu, namely Rosu Katsu – Deep Fried Pork Loin, and Hire Katsu – Deep Fried Pork Fillet. Available in 160g and 250g. Have it original, or enjoy them in a more flavourful way by having the 160g meat served with  Miso Sauce, Negi Miso Sauce, or Negioroshi Sauce.

Juicy, tender bites of pork fillet, jacketed with crunchy, golden brown outer layer.

Meat is freshly selected, aged, coated with breadcrumbs and deep fried using light vegetable corn oil. Also, flavoured with natural salt mined from deep mountain range, rich in natural minerals. Everything is prepared with strict guidance under Chef Akinori Terazawa to ensure the best taste and quality.

Look delish! Creamy, soft-scrambled omelette topped over rich, moist tomato rice, dressed in a bed of housemade demi-glazed sauce. Comfort food that is great for anytime of the day.

All set meal comes with rice, tonjiru (miso soup with pork), shredded cabbage and pickles. Refillable.

Other than that, Ma Maison Ebisu menu also covers a variety of Kushige including Shishamo, Prawn, Negi, Shiitake Mushroom, Quail Egg, Mozzarella Cheese, Oyster, Pork Belly & Negi, Pork Belly & Asparagus, Ham & Cheese, Pork Loin and Chicken.
