2) RGB & The Bean Hive @ Jalan Damai, Ampang

Many start to track down the whereabout of RAWcoffee, one of the best coffee places in Kuala Lumpur, when they announced the premise at Wisma Equity Equity KL would be closing down. Good news for all, they have come back and now located at Lot 35 along Jalan Damai, Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, just a stone’s throw away from Raffles Collage of Higher Education. It is now named RGB & The Bean Hive cafe, where RGB is the abbreviation of Roast.Grind.Brew. or Rather.Good.Beans or Red.Green.Blue. It seems to have everything of this. They now have a kiosk at G Tower, Jalan Tun Razak too.

5) Pickle & Fig @ TTDI

Pickle & Fig serves decent coffee, but may not be the latest and best coffee place in TTDI. Being shortlisted as one of the Best Healthy Eats by TimeOut KL 2013 and 2014, this has somehow reveal why they don’t get the Best Coffee crown – smoothies, sandwiches mixed and matched using unexpected healthy ingredients, has proudly steal the limelight. However, they are performing better as days go by, hence it is worth trying out a cuppa of their latte or cappucino in your visit.

Loysel’d Toy is also run by people behind Papa Palheta, featuring 1000 Cups blends. The folks finally comes into Malaysia, having Pulp by Papa Palheta (PPP) as their first flagship store in Jalan Riong, Bangsar KL and attracted throng of crowds once opened. 8)Three Little Birds Coffee @ D7 Sentul

Three Little Birds Coffee is opened by Artisan Roast, the expert coffee roaster in Malaysia. Though located in Sentul East D7, the still-in-the-mist-of-developing area with sky-high offices, shops and open-air courtyard atrium area, Three Little Birds is unexpectedly busy with a short waiting required during our visit. While coffee is undeniably good, Three Little Birds Coffee also highly recommends their Affogato with Salted Caramel Ice Cream and Nutella Bun, the East meets West sweet treat that will surely make you go sugar-loaded.

9)VCR @ Pudu

Morning or night, ambience in VCR café counts. From outside, it is a two-stories corner building, fully painted in dark grey with no obvious shop sign, so you can easily miss this place out along Jalan Galloway, Pudu (Beisde Swiss Garden Hotel & Residences). This humble café started secrety, but their good coffee has been spread by word of mouth, surprisingly full house when we visited near 10pm on one Saturday night. Pushing the door in we are welcomed with an elongated space, more spacious upstairs with al-fresco area, wooden floorings, rattan chairs, etc. The whole café is calm and inviting, deeply surrounded by the aroma of coffee. Coffee is the highlights here, and don’t miss the famous The King- a cake with layers of banana sponge cake, peanut butter & chocolate cream and banana.

Menu is kept simple with coffee, tea and light bites such as cakes and sandwiches. Nonetheless, everything is dedicatedly prepared, embraced with love.
