[Hua Hin 3D2N] Hua Hin Seaside and Horse Riding, Thailand

Hua Hin Itinerary Day 2 : Royal Pavilion Hua Hin Hotel -> Santorini Park -> Swiss Sheep Farm -> Palace of Love & Hope -> Plearn Wan Eco Village -> Sam Phan Nam Floating Market -> Cicada Night Market -> Wilawan Hua Hin Restaurant

Hua Hin Itinerary Day 3 : Hua Hin Railway Station -> Hua Hin Beach -> Back to Bangkok

Hua Hin Thailand is well-known for being a beach resorts town, once a getaway destination for the Royal families, now a tourist spot for both Thais and foreigners. Back in those days, Hua Hin serves as a quiet fishing village. Until 1920s, when railway station is built to connect Bangkok and Hua Hin for the monarchs, this small town slowly gains attention and eventually turns popular.

Located in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan, Hua Hin is about 200KM from Bangkok Thailand. This beach town is prides for its 5KM long seaside with white, sandy beach that comes into perfect match with the clear blue sky. Hua Hin means “stone head” in English, named so due to large, smooth rocks at the North end of the beach. We loved them lots!  Her twin sister, cha-am town, is equally famous for its long, beautiful seaside too.

There are ample of accommodation choices available along the beach, ranging from boutique hotel to friendly guesthouses and luxury villas & resorts. It is recommended that if your budget is sufficient, do stay in a reputable resorts facing the beachfront so that you enjoy the charm of nature and serenity of seaside to the fullest.

Due to budget limitation, we stayed in Royal Pavillion Hotel which is far from the beach, about 10 minutes walking. However, it does has its plus points for being near to Night Market, easy access for transportation back to Bangkok and other town activities. The next time, we will surely opt for a seaside resort.

A stay by the beachfront is definitely fun-filled. One can either go on beach activities such as sun bathing, horse riding, kite boarding, traditional Thai massage, leisure stroll and other water sports. Make your time and enjoy fresh seafood delicacies at the many seafood restaurants by the seaside too.

Horse riding is the most common activity on Hua Hin beach, and the target of course, goes to tourists. Horse owners were extremely friendly, all taking their horses and came to us: “Come come, horse riding, very cheap~~~ holiday, happy happy~~” =.=. It seems interesting, but due to the scorching hot weather, our Puteri Lilin (*meaning a person who cannot bear with hot sun in Bahasa) preferred to hide under the sun-shade.

For best experience, it is preferable to visit seaside early in the morning or during evening if you wished to go on a horse riding while enjoying cold sea breeze caress through your face. Horse riding costs about 300baht for 30 minutes.
