[Hua Hin 3D2N] Wine Tasting @ Hua Hin Hills Vineyard, Hua Hin, Thailand

Hua Hin Itinerary Day 1 : Bangkok to Hua Hin by Van from BTS Victoria Monument -> Royal Pavilion Hua Hin Hotel -> Hua Hin Hills Vineyard -> Chatsila & Chatchai Night Market, OK Seafood Restaurant

Hua Hin Itinerary Day 2 : Royal Pavilion Hua Hin Hotel -> Santorini Park -> Swiss Sheep Farm -> Palace of Love & Hope -> Plearn Wan Eco Village -> Sam Phan Nam Floating Market -> Cicada Night Market -> Wilawan Hua Hin Restaurant

Hua Hin Itinerary Day 3 : Hua Hin Railway Station -> Hua Hin Beach -> Back to Bangkok

3D2N at Hua Hin Thailand is certainly not enough. From adorable theme park to historical palace, cultural eco village, seaside, horse riding, night market shopping, etc., Hua Hin offers more surprises and attractions than we expected.

Hua Hin Hills Vineyard is our first destination after checking into Royal Pavillion Hotel Hua Hin. Located about 40KM West from the town, Hua Hin Hills Vineyard can be reached by tuk-tuk, private taxi or van provided by the winery management.

We went for the shuttle van service which is priced at 300baht per person, two-ways. Just book for your seat through their website (click HERE) and friendly staff will confirm your booking within 24hours!

By the time reach, just wait in front of the Khomapastr Silk Shop at Villa Market (* do not mix up with Market Village). There are two session of pick-up time: 10am and 3pm. Leaving time from Hua Hin Hills Vineyard is 1pm and 6pm.

The journey took about 45minutes, and along the way, we were welcomed with a scene of countryside greenery, pineapple plantations and Thai farming village that kept our journey interesting.

Opening to public in the year of 2007, Hua Hin Hills Vineyard is the home to New Latitude Wines, with Monsoon Valley ranges being the signature, award-winning wines made from international grape varieties grown in Hua Hin Hills.

Traditionally, Thailand is not a wine producing country, seeing that the most ideal place to cultivate wine grapes are between 30 and 50 N/S of the Equator. With deep research on different advantages of soil and climate in Thailand, now several vineyards in different locations of Thailand have come out with great quality wines, and Hua Hin Hills Winery being one of them.

They bring the production of wine to a new evolution, introducing Monsoon Valley’s labels that combine the power of mythological Naga, bringer of the monsoon rains to create vibrant, cutting edge new flavour – the Gold Medal winner at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards in London, United Kingdom.*Loud applause*

Previously an elephant coral, Hua Hin Hills Vineyard covers 560 acres of scenic mountain valley, growing Colombard, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Sangiovese, Tempranillo and eatings grapes on their loamy and sand mixture soil.

Apart from being just a vineyard, Hua Hin Hills Vinenary also offer public the opportunity to have elephant riding in the vineyard, appreciating the process of grapes cultivation, jeep tours, wine tasting, bottle painting, and mountain biking.

The highlights goes to wine tasting & dining at The Sala Wine Bar & Bistro, a restaurant brilliantly built at the side of the vineyard, offering best panaromic view of the entire place.

We were served with grape juice upon arrival. Sweet and refreshing, far more better than Ribenna. We then departed for a jeep tour lead by one of the staffs from Hua Hin Vineyard. He is very friendly and knowledgeble, speaks good English too.

After half an hour tour, we were back to The Sala for late lunch. Visitors can choose to have ala-carte dishes from the menu, or go for the Wine & Tapas set, which we strongly recommend.

This Thai-inspired open-pavilion restaurant is designed by Ms Sylvia Soh, a former Norman Foster architect. A mix of traditional and modern contemporary, using lots of wooden elements to enhance the natural touch of Hua Hin Vineyard.

The Sala’s al-fresco dining area allows you to sit back and relax, sipping on wine while enjoying the breathtaking view, endless expanse of green rolling hills.  How good if life could be so everyday.

Not knowing when will we be back again to this fantastic attraction, we went straight to Grand Tasting Set priced at 1730 Baht, came with:

Monsoon Valley Colombard with Chilled Crab Meat Apple Timbale
Monsoon Valley Curvee de Siam Blanc with Foie Gras Terrine
Monsoon Valley White Shiraz with Lobster with Frozen Red Curry
Monsoon Valley Shiraz with Smoked Duck Breast
Monsoon Valley Curvee de Siam Rouge with Cocoa Lamb Chop
**Pouring size is 75ml

Everything was good, and we loved Monsoon Valley Curvee de Siam Blanc with Foie Gras Terrine the most.

Before you leave, remember to purchase some merchandise from the souvenir & gifts shop resides within The Sala Restaurant. Excellent Monsoon Valley wines, grape jam, grape drinks, t-shirts, ceramic mugs are among the selections. We brought home two bottles of Monsoon Valley White Shiraz Rose.

Our trip to Hua Hin Hills Vineyard were so memorable. Fresh air, amazing views, close to nature, fantastic wine. The must-visit place in Hua Hin Thailand!
